Like many 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, COVID-19 significantly impacted our 2020 fundraising efforts. There were no parties at El Rio, no funds raised through riding in the SF Pride Parade, no motorcycle parking to oversee at Folsom Street Fair. We focused on merchandise and individual contributions from our generous donors. At the end of 2020 we made a $600 donation to the Marsh P. Johnson foundation. We are proud to support their efforts to protect and defend the lives of Black Trans individuals, especially during the COVID-19 crisis.

We are preparing for another year of limited in-person events, at least through June and LGBTQ Pride month. However, we are embracing online opportunities, including hosting a fundraising campaign through the month of June, culminating in Give OUT Day on June 30. Organized by the Horizons foundation Give OUT Day is the only national day of giving for the LGBTQ community. We hope that you will support us during the month of June as we raise funds critical to supporting our operational expenses, continuing to protect the name "Dykes on Bikes" for non-profit use in the LGBTQ community and embark on our archives project.
